Default Cost to replace from windshield?

How much can i expect to pay to replace the entire front window? has a huge crack in it because of a truck on the highway and got way bigger since it reached 100 today.

Anyone know any good shops/ places to do it at?

What I did was a I called a local body shop that I went to before and asked them who they used to replace their windshields. I ended up only paying like 157 and they came to my house. When I looked at the yellowpages the average price I was getting was 210.

$180 through safelite. they come to my house and replace within 45 min exact like the tech told me, but tell the tech to watch for the far end of your dash where it meets the windshield when he uses the blade tool to cut the weather seal.

Isn't 350Z PITA to replace the windshield? Remove the windshield wipers, cowl covers, pillar moldings(which have to remove the door weather strips). All that for 200+ sounds like very good deal. I need to re seal my front wind shield since the last guy who did the job poorly(from the previous owner), and the wind noise is driving me crazy.

i install glass on cars for a living. take it from me, dont pay for the molding.. the only time anyone ever has to buy a new molding is if it gets damaged by someone or your car is really old and all the rust and mold starts growing. and if u really wanna know, we buy the glass for like 50-60 bucks?

I've always heard that you should make sure the installer does a full cut-out when they change out the windshield. Doesn't the full cut-out include the molding? Or is that something different?

Try not to get safelite if possible!!! Sure they are cheap but it they use really shetty quality glass. You are probably gonna have to replace it soon afterwards.

I was messing with my rear view mirror and i came outside later and it took a chunk out from where it was glued on!!

No Bueno!!
