What's the widest person in Bride seats?
I'm looking to decide on some seats but am concerned about the width of the seats and who can fit in them. As there is no way i can test any looking for some help from you guys and hope you can advise the widest person each of the following can accommodate comfortably. I have searched and see a 34” waist figure mention but I believe these seats are different widths so not sure what seat this applies to.
Bride CUGA
Bride BRIX II
Bride ERGO II
Thanks

I just installed BRIX II seats last weekend. I am 5'11", 140lbs & have a 30" waist. Waist fits me perfect but the thigh supports are snug. If you have a thin waist and you need some more "Breathing Room" for the "Wedding Vegetables I would recommend the XAX II, its is the same seat with less agressive thigh bolsters.
There is like no bolster in the XAX II, i really don't like them. I quite fancy the Digo but i don't like the material choice.
I'm 6'2", 185lb and a 33 waist. Is this going to be a problem in all the choices i listed? Also i don't want it to be impossible for other people to get into.

Brides are not for normal humans....... Unless you find something with no bolsters just forget about it!!

I'm 240LBS, used to be a size 44 waist, and now a 36-38. I have Bride GIAS in my Z, and I fit (although snug). I like it though, comfortable once you get used to em. The brix II is actually a bit more narrow than the GIAS and is more uncomfortable unless you're a twig.
the ones w/out the lower bolster are good for the larger individual, and the cuga seems fairly close in relation to the GIAS in lower bolster width.
ALL bride seats will be narrow running in the waist and back bolster areas.

This just goes to show you that comfort is relative - you really have to sit in one, in a car, to know for yourself.
The Brix has a much wider bottom cushion than the Gias does
Gias:

Brix II: has the these measurements:
A: 520mm, B: 510mm, C: 910mm, D: 700mm, E: 490mm
I'm 5'11, 190 and a 36 inch waiste.... we had the GIAS in the Evo for all of a month before taking them out. They were completely uncomfortable to me. They were completely fine in the upper body section, but at the bottom, they just never felt right at all. Awesome seats for sure, I would have just had to have been a 32 inch waiste or so to be truly comfortable in them.
I had the Brix in my own car for a long time, and had no problems at all with them. Short trips, long trips...never an issue.
For the OP - the Cuga would be a good one to look at if you have to have the Bride. The bottom cushion measures 510mm wide, but the side boltsters are not nearly as stiff as the typical Bride reclining seats...so the thigh cushions have movement to them and don't crowd you in. Had the Cuga been out when I got my Brix, I would have bought those, as they were very comfortable to me. Seats such as this are supposed to be snug...it's what holds you in the car. There is a fine line between snug and uncomfortable, and no one can tell you what that line is. You have to try them somehow
Now I've got some Recaro's, and absolutely love them
I've got the SR III, but you might want to consider something like the Speeds - they are very, very comfortable. Kwame (work for us and is on the boards here) is over 6 feet and I'd guess around 240 lbs, and they are really comfortable for him

As usual Adam, always a FANTASTIC help. Those screen names would be excellent as i doubt i'm get a seat in any Brides without that.
I'm considering the Recaro Speed, Sport and Sportster CS along with the Brides but much prefer the Brides for thier rareness where quite a lot of cars over here come with Recaro as std.

no problem at all, I'll message you later tonight
true alot of cars there do use Recaro as std...but it's with good reason
Either way you go, both are quality seats, well made, and will last a long, long time.
