Gap between body panel & Gas door on 08
Is there any type of adjustment on the gas door that shuts over the cap? There is a noticeable gap between body panel and door...The door does not sit flush..Gap..meaning the side of the gas door that faces the rear tire is about 1/8 inch higher than the fender.
Mine is like that also..its an 05'. There is another thread here talking bout the same thing you and I have.

mine too, 2005.
just a cheap fit and finish, i blame the ultra sexy rear fender curves making it hard to conform a cheapo plastic cover.
it kinda bugs me when i walk up to the car, but once i hop in and hear the purr i get over it quick.

My 07 has that as well. The only time I ever notice it is when I'm getting gas though. I hardly ever walk up to the passenger side of my car, so it doesn't bother me too much, considering how much I love everything else about the car's appearance.
My 07 ZR also had uneven/wide gap between the door & the panel. I was able to fix it after looking at the inside of the gas door. There are 2 screws inside the gas door flap holding it in place. I adjusted the door by uncrewing the 2 screws & re-adjusting it (with a little slide up or down) as needed, then retighten screws until the gap is evenly all around to your satisfaction.
If the gas flap get stuck, just have someone push on the gap cap release inside the car while you give it a little pull from the outside to open the door, then re-adjust it again.
As far as the door not being flushed to the panel, I remove the same screw(s) on the side that is not flush and place a small flat washer in-between the metal piece & the part of the door that the screw tighten in; this will help push the gas door down only a tad bit, but it enough to make it flush to the rear panel.
