I was thinking about getting my headlights done so the inside would get painted black (not getting the lenses smoked), but I have a slight worry about this. It seems to me that having the reflective silvers pieces inside probably gives you a better range of light. My question is does anyone with painted lights have any experience if this changes how well you can see at night?

Hmm i think the first painted headlight thread was in 2005 and there have been 3495829034859023 since....

 

If it's HID, you won't have a problem.

 

The Bi-Xenons will not have an issue. The lights before that you should leave the area around the light unpainted so that it directs the light better.

 

I believe it was in 2002 and Mike @ Clearcorners was the father of 350Z black housing.
