Any Ideas For CF Parts?
I have acess to a guy who is a CAD engineer who is showing interest in making any part I desire.
The parts can be made in "one off" or low volume using stereo lithography in a wide range of resins. We can also make molds and make the parts out of fiberglass, carbon fiber, or prepreg CF.
Lets say you want to make a cold air intake for a Greddy TT. The engine compartment will be laser scanned in three dimensions and digitized. The data will be loaded into the CAD program and he can start to design the airbox. The program will let him know of any potential interactions with other parts in the engine compartment before the piece is even made so fitment will be guranteed before the part is even cast using stereo lithography.
I would like to make a Greddy TT CF intake pipe and cold air intake airbox.
So my question to you is.... anyone have any idea for parts they would like to see made?

Interior pieces of 2006+ headlights, replacement roof(not an overlay), replacement door handles, exhaust heat shields without diffusers, any of the hard plastic interior pieces(like the a pillars), and OEM body panels.

carbon upper intake plenum for VQ35DEs
Z-specific flat under paneling (kevlar)
front radiator support frame in carbon
headlight replacement housing for PIAA headlight casing on top and with brake ducting on bottom.

I use ProE to do personal projects as well; seems to work better than everything else I've tried. At work we use AutoCAD, but we aren't making parts - we use it primarily for 2D drafts which AutoCAD excels at. ProE makes 3D modelling quite easy, and can generate the CnC logic if you have the right plug ins.
my votes:
intake plenum for the VQ35DE
replacement roof with corvette/viper/asuka-like humps (with it being a replacement, it becomes functional for fitting taller guys with helmets)
