Default Cleaning Headliner?

Alright, I've been searching around the forums. Still gotta check Tech to see if they have anything on this, but I'm sure some other people might be interested.

I have some slight stains and discoloration on my headliner. Is there a way to clean it without removing the headliner?

I've thought of using Tide diluted in water and just rubbing it in with a clean, white towel. Then, I'd use another clean towel to dab and dry the headliner.

Any ideas?

All purpose cleaner (APC) or a really diluted mix of degreaser will work.

Thanks for the reply man

What exactly is "All-Purpose Cleaner"?

Is that an actual brand? Or just something I should look for on the bottle?

The green dyes in the cleaner won't stain the headliner with it's own green color?

Last thing I want is a Hulk Green headliner

Ever think about covering the headliner with vinyl or some other material?? You can pick a color you like ( other than gray..wtf did they do that for...) and with vinyl it's easy to clean. I am going to do mine in black vinyl>>> like it should have come from the factory!!!!!

here is an example of how it dilute it. I use the 4:1 on tougher stains and then i use the 10:1 for a normal mix.

I don't have the loose funds to redo my headliner. I'm happy with the stock headliner... just not happy with the stains.

Thanks a bunch Superblack! I'm gonna run to Walmart and see if they have this stuff.
How much Vodka do you add to the diluted mixture? Does it help clean stains?
