Exactly what the title says, I am wondering if the 03-05 back black house will work on the 06-08 headlights. It looks to be the exact same but I was wondering if someone from CinCity or anyone else that has knowledge in this area would know. Basically, I got pair 06-08 headlights off ebay at good deal with broken tabs and I figured since I was removing my 03 headlights I could just excahnge the housings. Thanks in advance for the advice.

 

I'm not sure what you're asking? If it's what I think it is, no, you can not. Well, not with out modding it anyway. I've done it, but it sucks and totally not worth it. You're basically wanting to use the black housings of your 03's and fit all the guts of the 06 into them correct? The cover will fit no problem, but the guts are not a perfect match as you are assuming. Again, it can and has been done, but it takes a fair amount of work. I think I still have the housing I used for my fit, but used the modded projector for another retro job.

Your best bet would be to sell those or use them as they are (unless you choose to mod them I guess?). If you choose to sell, send me a PM. I'm always looking for extra parts.

 

Yes, that is exactly what I am talking about. I wouldn't mind modding my lights. I was actually looking at doing a similar design as your R8 mod, but with a little my taste... But I am not for sure.

You wouldn't happen to have 06-08 black back housings for sale, would you?
