Default requesting pic of blacked out 03-05 headlights...

hey guys i am thinking about blacking out my 03 headlights, i have found a few pics of some and they look good blacked out put i was wondering if anyone had any closeup pics or just pics of them on there car so i can get a good idea of what it really looks like and if i should do it to my car thanks guys

Heres mine, I used spray tint from hobbytown for the amber strips.

^^ I like the look of leaving the blinker housing half painted to match the brights. Looks pretty clean man! Props!

^^ Thanx, Ya I think it looks good this way. For some reason on some cars that have the upper part blacked out too, it looks like sleepy eyes . Be prepared for a nerve racking experience. Poping the lens off the housing is scurry, cause you're afraid its gonna get screwed up. And if you're not careful it will get screwed up.

can you take a pic of a direct headon shot of the headlight? so I can see where you painted it at. and which color black did you use? flat black or satin black or glossy black

The only parts I left unpainted are the concave reflective surfaces behind the projectors and the amber bulbs. I used a satin finish.
Heres one straight on.

i'm still trying decide if i want to paint the inside black or red to match the car.

Does anyone have pics of thier 03-05 headlights painted to same color as thier car?

what high beams? haha. it killed the light output on high beams...but eh, they're overrated anyways!!!

they lost a 'little' light output...but not too bad...just basically lost the high beams...it doesn't help that my windshield is tinted w/ 30%...

can you post a pic with the lights on? and a pic of the lights on a wall so I can see how much light was lost? thanks

and which light bulb did you replace the orange one with and where can I buy one?(the bilb above the projector)

well thanks for all the replys an sweetdreamZ inspired me to paint my headlights all black. I did this yesterday in my garage so i dont have any real good pics yet but i will post some more tonite, tell what you think, an oh yeah the brights are no more lol but the hid didnt really lose anything still look good

your all black setup vs the other one above that left the reflectors is no match. the all black is much much much hotter.

the half black w/ the reflectors still looks pretty ugly IMO
