Default anyone retro fitted their 03-05 headlights?

I was wondering if anyone has retro fitted their head lights and/or how hard is it to do? I basically need as much info as possible. I just don't want to fork over $900+ on 06 hedlights. And I'm going to black out my headlights once my smoked strip comes in. So I bacically want to retro fit them as well to a brighter hid kit, I know the tsx/tl/audi a4/audi a6 hids are hella bright. but how hard would it be to replace my current HIDs. Im sure someone at CIN or other knowledgable people can point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

and sorry if this is a repost.

If you're going to retro them to hold real projectors (bi xenon or a smaller single), your going to have your work cut out for you. It can be done for sure, but making it look good is another story. You'll no doubt have to cut into the bright light section and maybe some of the blinker housing?? It is indeed possible to mount the 06 projector into the 03-05 buckets with some modification (I tried it out for the hell of it one day, but never went any further than that), but then filling in all that space from the brights section being removed would be annoying and more work than it's worth. I guess it comes down to what your time is worth to you? Having something unique and different is always fun though! Good luck man!! If you need any projectors from various cars, let me know. I have shelfs and shelfs full of projectors from just about every make and model in tons of different shapes and sizes.

^I was looking at an acura tsx projector. Do you have any of those? And in your opinion which HID projector do you think is comparible to the 06-08Z? I would like to paint my entire headlight housing similiar to wnat you do with the 06-08.

The TSX/TL projectors are one of the best projectors out there that I know of. Fitment wise I have no idea how good it'd fit in a z housing though. Retrofitting is a lot of work, it'll cost as much money as a used 06+ pair of hairlights most likely. I'm not sure how good the 06+ projector hids are either I've never seen them. I been trying to find a cutoff picture of it vs the 03-05 hid. I wouldn't mind some s2k projectors.

I think Im going to use the TL/Tsw projectors but use a ZKW lens. I have done some research and this seems to be the best set up. I just need some pics of a 03-05 headlight retro fitted to use as reference. hell a DIY would be awsome( but doubt I'll find one.) and as much info as I can get for the setup(i.e. how to hook it all up and which ballast and wiring to use.)
