Default Need Help!! How To Take Out The Orig Spoiler????

Hey Guys, I just bought a V2 Full CF Spoiler, and I was trying to get the orig spoiler off. I got the 2 nuts underneath, but it seems like the spoiler is glued?
Any suggestions? I took it to Speed Shop here in Miami but I was advise to take it to a body shop.

double stick tape is underneath along with two more clips, which is in addition to the two nuts/bolts you found.

I don't see the two clips, and what did you use with the double sided tapes?
Thanks for the help.

heat it up with a blow dryer then use a piece of fishing line to separate the spoiler from the hatch.

the use of a heat gun might aid in the release of the double stick tape. i just used a putty knife and razor to get the wing to lift off the hatch, then used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive.

I was wondering this too. I tried some 20lb test fishing line, never could get it off. I never knew about the clips though.

try using:

Spiderwire Stealth Braided fishing line: a 20lb test line is the same diameter as a standard 6lb mono filament...very strong and good abrasion resistance...works very nicely for its intended purpose as well

+1 also use a blow dryer and not a heat gun. may damage your paint if you don't use the heat gun properly. also when heating the paint try not touching it because you might make some scratch. (paint get very delicate under heat)
