Hey guys, I did some searching and didnt find my answer. Doesnt mean the answer isnt out there, and if I missed it, I apologize. But is it possible to just remove the door for the front cubby above the radio?

 

I've not tried that but I assume you would have to remove the center console in order to do it. Should be plenty of DIY guides on the forum for that.

 

I browsed that section for a bit and couldnt find anything.

 

i would not advise it. it is impossible to get it to go back on and function the way it did before you take it off. I have a cubby out of an '06 with the door already removed if you need it. I had to end up buying a new one because I took off the door.

 

Is it that serious? Why is it impossible to put back and function the way it did before?

 

Well I mostly want the door off because I am going to build an ipod/ems control unit holder to fit in there.....so it is mostly just experimental to see if I want to modify the door or build a whole new unit to go in there.

 

like i said, i got one with the door already off for sale.
