My 90' Z had t tops, nice on a cooler day, but scary when birds fly over. I think I removed the tops maybe 3 times when I owned the car.

OMG I looooooove that!

I've always wanted a targa top Z... but does it sacrifice handling, etc? In that case, I'd rather not...

Do you provide a warranty against leaks or defects in workmanship? If so... PM me with pricing and details.

Something like a foldable one would be just have a sun roof the whole width of the car so there isn't a piece to be removed so it isn't so much of a hassle.

i had a camaro with t-tops and i loved it here is south florida. beach trips with the tops off were awsome. The z idk about tho. one of my fav things about the z is the tear drop roof. with the top off you lose that and it looks kinda wierd. my camaro looked better with the tops off but the z is best with the roof. I might go for a sun roof tho.

Roof in non-convertible cars is a structural component of the car..if you just cut it off you car will start bendind after every little bump which is sth you definitely do not want to happen..

+1, the car is designed to have the impact travel through the car. That is why convertibles are heavier, they have to take a different approach and reinforce the main chassis for rigidity and impacts. Without that reinforcement or engineering, you're turning your car into an accordion. Good luck to whoever does it.

I believe the ZR has extra reinforcment in the chassis.. The roof and pillars add extra ridgity to the vehicle and therefor the structure is compromised if the roof is removed and I wouldn't want to be in an accident in one.

Imho, the targa top from those pics doesn't really flow well with the modern look of the 350z (kills it actually) but suits more older model cars like the 300zx etc etc.. Plus where would you put the roof? what happens if it rains?

Get a roadster, and you can open/close the roof with a push of a button.. No need to worry about the look of a ZR as they are meant to be driven with the top down and look **** hot.
