Talking finally found the lowest seat?

I have used the search button like no other the past week lol. I have finally gathered what i think is enough info on what is the best seat for a a tall person like myself. I noticed z1 performance said the bride base was lower than the recaro so i was thinking recaro speed with recaro rails and a bride base. Im 6' 7" with about 36 waist and looking to sit lower. Any advice would be great. That and Im sure it would answer any future questions becaue i have looked and there is still no one answer for what is the lowest seat possibility for us tall people. I saw a pic of a member (cant remember who, white z with recaro speed/ speed s) and it looked like it was on the floor. Seat like recaro has to feel good and if it sits that low i want it. Any advice would be great.

I got your PM but from the post above you seem to have already found the answer. The only thing is I not running Recaro rails. I'm running the Recaro Speed seats with Bride bases.

In any case I'm only 6' tall and my waist size is 34/36. Your a lot taller than me so I'm not sure how you will fit with the same setup.

so since you dont have any rails, the seat cant move i assume. Can it be positioned back or further forward or do you have to drill holes to make it work with just using the base?

Recaro SRD would actually be better for you than the speed...less bolster

its not that, if anything the speed s, the bolster is a little tight, slightly uncomfortable but i think thats just cause im not use to it. No, i just wanted to know if the seats from kwame sat as far back as possible of if i would need rails to make the seats go further back. Also Kwame, what bride frame is it, the mo?

Chris, truthfully I really can't answer that question. Simply because you can't mount a seat without a base and not all bases are compatible with all seats.

What you are referring to as "rails" are the same thing as what I am referring to as "bases." Bride bases include sliders which allow you to move the seat forward and backwards.

No extra drilling is required to use the bride bases with the Recaro Speeds. The bases screw into the pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the seat with the supplied hardware.

I want a low seat also, I have a long waist, so I need some more headroom. I'm 6'6" 240, with a 38 waist right now, I'll be down to a 34-36 in a month or two (hopefully). I've wanted a new seat for a while now, what would my best option be?

Nagisa Auto Super low rails here, my Buddy Club seat is literally a millimeter off the floor. My 5'3 wife can't see over the steering wheel without a phone book.

Unfortunately, the only fit bucket seats. Most people go with reclining seats due to the added comfort, unless its for a track car.

I'm also looking to buy a 350Z, but with just 1 cm of headroom left I'm also interested in lower rails.
Are there any low rails out there that fit the standard seats ?

Did anyone try to modify the standard rails ? I think it would be possible to cut a few centimeters out of the legs. And is the floor of the 350z underneath the seat flat ?
