Good place for stock and custom seat bases

For my 1st try at a custom-lowered seat base to mount a track-day racing seat (Ultrashield Spec Miata ) I got a Sparco and beat the crap out of it to lower/remove the legs, then cut the excess length off. Then I added some extra materiel to the base to strenghten it. It works fine,,,but needs to be stronger.

Next time I will have Wedge just build me on. Why? every time you bend metal, you weaken it... I want a seat base that will hold together in a crash....
