Default Having problems of removing out the key

Hey 350z members,
This is my 1st time postin thread but have been register as member for some time. Im from malaysia and own a stock white 350z.

Recently, i have been facing problems of removing out my key after i turn off my engine. The key tends to get lock up when i try to turn it and remove it out. But this problem only happen sometimes. By solving the problem, i restart my car, and move the car within a short distance, then i switch off the engine, n try to remove the key out again. Sometimes, i may need to do a number of times to take it out
Question is does any of 350z members face this problem before? And, if u guys face this matter, mind knowing how to solve this matter n what causes it to be that way. Thank you for ur cooperation.

When this happens try turning the steering wheel a bit...sometimes the wheel lock can hold the key.

Also is this an Automatic? if so, push the shifter forward to make sure it clicks into park.

I assume that the steering column is locked.

Yeah all you have to do is turn the wheel after you park it and the key will come out. I make it a habbit to turn my wheel straight before turning the car off and this will never happen.

Yeah, its an Automatic. Well, i have align sterring wheel into center position and it doesn't help to remove out. But when i push the shifter forward to Park, it does helps the key to remove. It seems that i always need to push the shifter more forward to Park when my engine is switch off in order to take out the key.

I went to the workshop, the mechanic jacks up my car n adjust the gear shifter to its position. Then, he took for a lap to test the car, n try to insert n remove number of times to make sure its alright. After that, i drove the car to my destination where i was heading, the problems start to repeat again. The key still may not be able to remove unless i push the shifter more towards the Park gear. Is there other way to solve the problem permanently?

Check if your key is bent.

If your key is even slightly bent, then it wont come out.
I had this problem a few weeks ago lol. i was going insane when it didnt come out.

Whenever my key gets stuck, I check to make sure it's not super glued in there. That can make it hard to get out... I hate it when that happens.
