That's the only way to do it.. Minimize trips in and out of the booth and the dust nibs stay at a minimal, but happen.. A good post paint/sand and buff guy goes a long way as well..

A pro-painter will get runs SOMETIMES too. and minimal wetsanding, that just differes from shop to shop, some shop will look at the paint, and if it looks good they'll send it out. But a lot of shop (like mine) we wet sand and buff EVERY paint job we do, no matter how good the job is.

Wetsanding offers benefits to even the best, highest cost paint jobsatter if they were done by the best body shop on the planet, or if its the best factory paint job on the planet. There is no gun in the world, and no paint technique in the world that ensures paint lies perfectly flat without high and low spots, it is simply unavoidable. Wetsanding is the only way to accomplish that.
