Default Bolt In Roll Bar?

Does anyone make a bolt in bar similar to what the Porsche GT3 guys are using or the DAS bar in my 993?

THANX

Kirk Racing makes a 4 point bolt in roll bar that is excellent. I have one in my car.

Not extremely... The main hoop does sit just in front of the opening of the side windows. If you dont get the "X" brace, then there is just one diagonal brace visible thru the front/rear windows. Let me find some pics for you guys...

Autopower also makes them, though not as forgiving to the passenger as the Kirk IIRC

Kirk you have to call them

IIRC it was around $400. And yes you have to call them, they build them to order.

Cusco is a roll cage, not a roll bar. Given that the OP knows about DAS, and the factory bar in a GT3, I suspect he also wants something competition worthy - the Cusco is a nice piece, fits great, and definitely adds stiffness, but its a full cage, and it's not sanctioned for track use unless its D1 drift events

/\ Ahhh. I was just going to say that I didn't think bolt-in roll cages were sanctioned at most competition events... They have to be welded in, right?

I don't want to jack this guy's thread, but has anyone installed a Kirk 4-point roll bar with stock seats? Looking at Spoils of War's pictures, I don't see how the Kirk bar could bolt to the floor in the seat area without moving the seat(s) far forward or modifying/eliminating the plastic cover on the side of both the driver and passenger seats. Spoils of War has aftermarket seats and it looks like the seats are positioned well forward to clear the roll bar.

I'm a big guy and need to be able to move my seat all the way back to be comfortable.

The passenger side seat is pictured as far back as it can go. It will hit the cross brace if you try to put it back farther. You will definitely not be able to move the seat all the way to the rear of the stock track.

However, also keep in mind that the seats in the pictures are fixed back, so they are somewhat more upright then reclinable seats, and that might make them look like they are farther forward.

Most events/sanctioning bodies that require a cage specify that it must be welded in. However, when only a roll bar is needed, bolt-ins are almost always acceptable.

IIRC Kirk will also make a weld in version of this bar, or you could convert it yourself. They make a weld in full cage as well.

Driver's seat has ample room, passenger side not so much. Actually only small children and petite females will fit in the passenger seat comfortably after installation of the Kirk bar.
