Default Front grill painted to match

I am looking for pictures of any 350Z where the front grill opening has been painted to match the body color, pictures in silver would be nice since mine is silver. I wanted an idea how it will look before moving forward with the idea.

I removed the front bumper cover while I add projector fog lights and would paint it now if it would look nice.

Thanks for the reply...

I was thinking body color so maybe, just maybe the grill will look less like a mouth and more like a grill and I can always add the metal chrome to the edge of the slits

thats redundant, the grill is already black, and the car is black. There can't be too much of a difference.

I didn't like mine.
Pictures were taken at the end of winter and before I changed it. Ignore the retarded basketball hoop. I ripped that down.

Damn.

Thanks for the pics Silverstone...the shadowing makes it hard to tell but the general concensus is "don't do it". I just wanted to do something so in the back of my mind, the front looks less like a bug smiling at me.

Any ideas?

Yeah I really didn't like it. But I had to live with it for a while.

Here's an idea... Buy a new bumper

If you paint it body color, your car will look like it went through some cheap paint / body shop that didn't take the time to properly mask it off.

I am getting my 2006 done in gloss black rather than the gunmetal it come stock with. I have an Interlagos fire, and I think the gloss black will look a little less cheap than the gunmetal.

dont do it...i took my car into the dealership once.....next day i called and they said it would be another day for the work i was having done?? i frowned cause they originally told me only one day, but i didnt make a fuss.....so then the next day i called and this time a different service manager answered! she hated my service manager so she spilled the beans all over the place -- telling me how the tech caught my front bumper on the lift arm when he was reversing WITHOUT a spotter and he ripped my front bumper nearly off the car! so they spent the extra day repainting a new replacement bumper!!

you believe this! they werent gonna tell me at all is what i found out!!!! BELIEVE THAT!!! but they found they had to tell me because the retarted paint shop didnt mask off the center section!!! So my PPW Z was all white including the grill area!!!

looked horrible!!! A billet grill would have looked better!

I raced over there and then saw my car! they drove it over and were like..."it looks great! yey! how do you like it!!!"

I was like you A Z Z WIPES!!!

They wanted me to sign all these papers and take my car and they would order me a new bumper and paint it again!!! i was like heck NO! my car is staying here and you better put a rush on the new bumper!

Now that the bag was out! they had no reason to rush! so the next day my service manager was like "its gonna take 2 weeks to get another bumper so you might as well come sign papers and take your car"

I hung up and called the Dealerships General MANAGER, skipping the service manager! i demanded to speak with him!!! after much resistance i finally got the guy on the phone...."level headed dude" HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED" but when he did i got my car back in like two days.....

had a new bumper ordered, overnighted, painted by a reputable shop and back on my car with new fender liners..everything...

Well, I'm skipping this idea for sure.

It was just a thought, how to reduce the "face" look but in light of
things, I'll continue to live with it...

Wo is me.

LOL
