Default CLEAR HOOD ? at least its possible..proof here now we need a fabraction

i dont know how it would look on the z but this stang has it looking realllllly nice i think any of our highly modded z's out there that tried to pull this kinda of thing off would look really sexy and completly out of the box different. at least to me ive never seen it on a z. Anyway check it out anyone think this kind of thing, if done right, could look good on a nice engine setup? its got my vote just wondering what you all think. thought it was something differnt check it out looks realllly clean to. enjoy.

fail.

over time. plastics will yellow, scuff, and or warp due to heat. clear hood would only be for complete show purposes and not actual driving.. plus what better way to tell a cop what you have under the hood when you dont even have to open it up for them!

for just a little cutout clear plastic, depending on grade or how thick the plastic is, yellowing and scuffs can be repaired easily. I've worked on a few mustangs with those cutouts and buffed out the yellow and small scratches easily.

As for heat , not sure about that for our cars.

Call up Chevrolet and ask the specifics of the polycarbonate over the ZR1's intercooler...I'm sure they'll spill the beans. IMO though, the entire hood would be way too much--even the amount in the mustang pic is too much.

More goofballs with clear hoods!!

J/K I don't think Mustangs or Z's belong having clear hoods. The engine bay is functional and not really pretty to look at. (Thus the engine cover.) These Italian ladies above have some artwork to show off.
