I met Rob in person. Hes definitely not like what he perceives himself to be like on his show. Hes a lot more reserved in person. Now Drama on the other hand didn't get enough camera time on the show cause hes a lot more outgoing.

Oh ya? I loved that show cause they did the most stupidest **** but had fun doing it. You'd think drama was the shy one... Anyway, back on topic - we need some pics of satin Z's and G's. I woulda thought someone would have at least done a time attack car that way by now. My car is half murdered out, lol.
Maybe it's just the picture that makes it look bad
With tinted tails, blinker/reverse lights, painted headlights, and darker wheels it would look good.
Messed with the lighting levels

seekanddestroy did a nice one (think its more satin than flat). flat looks like primer imo the satin like stated earlier is still a normal color/clear paint process and looks far better on some cars
I'm sorry but this is one of the worst ignorant threads I've read in awhile. my car is I guess what YOU guys would consider "flat" instead of "satin" but I can guarantee that it sure as hell doesn't look like a 16 year old rattle canned it. There is no "satin rules flat sucks" some people say flat some say satin or matte or whatever, the truth is some flat/satin/mattes look good, some don't its as simple as that. Unfortunately pulling off the paint is not that simple. You can take "flat" paint and spray it wet, BAM you have "satin" or greasy as I found, take the same paint and spray it on a different day at a different temp and BAM "is that Krylon?"
Using that shytenheimer car as your example of "flat" black made me crack up. That car wasn't even done. Some moron tried to paint that car for that dude and f'd up baaaaaaad. The owner sold that car shortly after. Thats like posting that picture of the white Z that had siding held on with wood screws for side skirts and saying, "see body kits are ghey"!
Andy has it right, the Z does not have the lines it needs to look like that Ferrari. It does not pull of the color "very well" however it still looks insane! I love my car, some say it looks like primer but noone I've wanted to bang has EVER said any crap like that. It was more like my best friends fat *** uncle that drives a Miata.
This is all of course just my opinion and speaking from my experiences, take it as you will coming from someone that loves his "flat" black Z. And there are plenty that agree.
