Default Suede Seat Inserts - Are they holding up?

For those of you that upgraded your seat covers how are they holding up? My factory cloth is about worn out on the bolster. I have been looking to get the leather sides with the suede centers like the attached picture. I am mainly interested in the suede because i dont want to be sliding around in full leather. My concern with this, is how the suede holds up over time. I dont want it looking matted or wearing out after short use.

Any advice here?

Oh i am looking at leatherseats.com if that matters. They seem to have pretty good ratings.

The photo you are referencing is actually a Katzkin install done on my car by Texas Autotops in Carolton, Tx back in late 2002 or early 2003 (too long to remember)

but back to your question, I wrecked the car (an 03 pre-order) about 8 months later and it was totalled due to 6,000 dollars in damage. I gave to the seats to my buddy (was wesman on this board) and he still has them as far as I know. You might check with him as to how they've held up. I bought a Lemans Sunset and left the seats with is silver car.

Haha, yes i remember. I have been keeping this pic for a while. Unfortunately, the Katzkin kit is now $999 (up from ~$700 from a couple years ago). I have heard good things about leatherseats.com.

In reality i would like to keep fabric, but since the car gets driven less and less these days i dont mind getting the leather. I have been holding out for as long as possible, but now you can actually see foam on my bolster.

. . . and yes it has been a long time for us pre-order folks. 2003 #153 still going strong with 88K.
