My friends at Corner3 helped out w/ a bracket fab and weld over the weekend that turned out pretty cool...

WTF is the point of putting the tow hook there when you have the OPTION to remove them??? plus you live in Cali, not like its flooding all years round where you need a truck to pull you out..

tacky as hell..

I think Joe track's his car + he has the power to back it up...enough said. I would flame a guy who put this on N/A and DD's his car with no track time.

why not just weld a threaded portion on it so you could use the factory location?

and mad props for pioneering a new way! as in welding and fab'n up your own bracket and coming up with a new look!

Sweet look'n in my opinion...

Plus I'm glad to hear you track your car and you just don't do all this stuff to Daily Drive and look purdy....

lol, that hook would bend so fast or break. That is for looks over use.

I think some of you overestimate how much force is needed to flat tow a car at low speed (like you would do at a track). That hook is probably more then adequate structurally.

how far is the attachment point to the frame rail? how come you just didnt do an attachment at the bumper support attachment to the frame?

i've been thinking about doing that and cutting through the front bumper..

I track my car and had to actually have my car PULLED out of mud on a track.

That tow hook would bend/snap if it tried to pull the Z out of a situation like that.

Most of the time the car is not at a straight angle with the other vehicle pulling it out. If it pulls at a angle with that hook, it will bend.

The stock one is way stronger than the one that is installed on this car just for looks.
