is Amber the only color that is street legal? Or are any of them legal? I get too much attention from Cops here. Wanna stay legal. Do I go either Amber or White or are both illegal (in CALI)?

Please check with your local official since each state is different, however, it's pretty safe to say AMBER is legal in almost every state.

Yes, I'm sure you can install these Z4 by yourself.....the following are the tools you may need;

(1) Rubbing alcohol (to clean surfaces)
(2) Fishing wire / dental floss (to remove the "Z" emblems)
(3) Scissor/Knife
(4) Screw driver (to remove the clips on the wheel wall..etc)
(5) Electrical tape
(6) Wire Tap-Ins (see picture below)
(7) Flashlight
(8) Thin metal cloth hanger; e.g. the white ones from dry-clean (to run wires to the headlight assembly through the fender)

PS. I had posted a brief instruction a couple of post before, each kit will come with the instruction, and we'll also post instructions with pictures on our website after we install a set on our Z.

Let us know when you know when the white LED's are available. I would be interested in doing the white on the bumpers and blue on the emblems.

Those might be the prototype Z4 LED side markers that we sent out to some of the Z members to put on their car during the SEMA show last year.

Exclamation Some pix

We'll install one set on our Z this weekend and I'll take pictures as we install it, and incorporate them into our instruction which will be posted on our website. I'll also take pictures at night after they are installed.

Here are some pictures of the Z4 LED side markers in their package (each Z4 LED Side Marker ring is individually packaged and sealed, so one set will contain 2 individual packages)

News update on Z4 LED. We have sold some Z4 LED to Japanese vendors. It is starting to get very popular in Japan. As you know they love LEDs. One of the vendor realize this Z4 LED also fits Z32 mark. Below is a picture of it.

I installed my blue LED z4 sidemarkers on thursday and I must say that during the day they dont look bright at all (as expected), but at nite they light up all around , but the bottom side (if u installed them with the LED's on the top side) is a tiny tiny bit less bright....thursday nite once it became dark i was so amazed how good these looked

thanks andy
