Default Headlight opinions needed..

So i just got my Cincity Headlights in today. Got black housing, white halo, 4 white led swap, sti lens. I have a 10,000K bulb on the passenger side and a 6000K on the driver side for comparison. I'm kinda leaning more towards the 6000k but what do you guys think. Also i'm really worried about this 6000K bulb becaseu sometimes it turns off after flickering like crazy but will turn on if i turn it off then back on. What is teh problem?Ballasts? Another probelm I have is with my front turn signals. I got 7440 luxeon front turn signals from superbrightleds.com with resistors but is there a special install instruction? I just pulled out my old turn signals and plugged these in and they don't turn in so I didn't even bother with teh resistor till i can get those working. Tips? So here is the crappy pic itook real quick to see your opionion on the 10 vs 6K bulbs. I also have a pic that I didn't upload of the driver side bulb off and teh passenger side on. I will post much nicer pics after I decide on a bulb and get everything installed. Also if anyone has any suggestions to get that dust from inside teh headlights out it woudl be much appreciated. There is more on teh driver side than passenger side and I heared that removing teh parking light and putting in a high pressure air hose would solve the problem? In fact the bumper right now is only being held on by 2 nuts but I dont' drive it so it won't fall off lol. I appreciate the feedback

Hello friend. Flickens problems may be both, bulb and ballasts. Sometimes when the ballast get damage a further problem in bulb may be expected. Every car is different, you should start using a tester to confirm your ballast is getting continue 12V. Also a connection may be no so good, revise. There is a lot of cheap systems in the market, you should also track this. I have thousands of systems installed and know much about this, also my own Z has HID in lo and hi beam. For the color temp (K) I suggest 6000K, it has more lumens and also make the car looks elegant. Please note that projection type beams in Z used to consume much light and a 10000K bulb won't be enough for dark roads at night. You may contact me direct or through our online store WWW.SAGAHID.COM

Also, the resistor is used to protect the led against voltage or amp fluctuation, they make leds last longer and avoid hyperflashing in turn signals. One resistor led per bulb polarity. Contact us if need instructions or go to my website WWW.SAGAHID.COM

i took a video of the probelm. The headlight jsut turns off. I think it was more stable of the left side with the OEM bulb. Maybe I jsut need higher quality bulbs? Or shoudl i try switching ballasts? I really need suggestions. Thx for your imput

Why not use the stock bulbs, they will produce more light. And the sti lens will give you a nice bright blue cutoff line. I would never use 10k as your visibility is going to suffer.

I would personally put in the stock 4300k and call it a day. You will have more visibility.

Looks like your bulb is going out.. Ive been through dozens of those "cheaper" higher K bulbs and thats what they do when they're about to blow. If you like the 6000 K bulb go for the phillips version. They're a little pricey but high quality.

Yeah... just watched the video, and that's definitely not normal.

Try putting a stock bulb in that side, and see if that fixes it, if not, it's your ballast.

FYI, turning your lights on and off again like that is never a good thing to do.

AH, looks like a connection problem or defective part. The easy way is to swith the ballast (or the bulb) from one side to the other. If problem goes to other side is the part you exchange and visceversa. I also sell separate parts if needed, my systems are from Brightstar with Phillips burner on bulbs. Regards, www.sagahid.com

I swapped the bulbs and they are the problem. If everyone thinks the phillips are the best quality I'll get a pair of those. BTW does anyone know whats goign on with my turn signals and when i did the direct swapof the turn signals they don't work?

The turning signals are either doa. Or you installed them wrong. Try turning them over. I believe those bulbs can be put it either way, but will only work one way.

^^^ What he said

The bulbs will go in both ways but will only work one way. You may even have to flip both lights back and forth to get both working.

I flipped them around and I still can't get them to work...They feel like they are very loose however, unlike the OEM ones which were really hard to take out. Did i get the right type? 7440????

AH, nice to hear you solved the problem. I got the oem replacement bulbs or entire conversion kit. I have sold over 3,500 systems locally and give 1 year warranty. Be careful with ads! Philips do not make HID systems, purchase based on warranty better than brand. For LEDs I would go with Vleds.com they have the 7440 high-power a very nice LED, $50 pair but you wont be disappointed, I got them in my Z. If need support on HID just let me know, pm or through my webpage www.sagahid.com BTW I have sold to some guys of this forum. Regards.

A.H. why are you set on 6k or 10k? I just dont see the point of loosing visibility with a higher k rating. The oem 4300k's look great with the sti lens. More light, and a blue cutoff.

At first I loved the OEM bulbs but I also really like the bulbs they had in range rovers whcih i found out were 6k. So i gave those a shot and really liked them, although I did loose visablility. And ever since I've just got use to 6K visability which is why I never push my car unless it's light out. The 10,000K bulbs are my friends and he gave them to me for free so I thought about giving them a shot but they defiently won't work. If 6K visablitly wasn't bad enough 10K jsut makes it worse I really wanted to stop spending money a while ago and I would just put in my OEM bulbs at this point to be honest but I only have one
