hr cluster on a de?

hr cluster on a de?
will a cluster from an hr work on a non hr z? i ask becuase i have a higher redline, and would rather run a new cluster instead of an external tach. a concern i may have is that the sweep may be off. any comments, knowledge, please help me out!
