Is your bar legal for everything except wheel-to-wheel racing?
Solo 1 & 2; hill climbs?

Thanks. Good luck with the install. Looking forward to your pictures.

No problem, I ordered Fri the 12th and was told 2 weeks to build it, then probably a week to ship it out. Jeff, I'll be bringing my car in for that diff install also so you can check it out then. Hopefully it will have the racing seat and harness in at that time as well.

I love the flywheel, so much more power seems to be getting to the ground in 1st and 2nd gear. I lose traction much more often now so the stronger diff should really help get the power to the ground.

My last step that I am gonna do all at once is the cams/headers/high flow cats(the liberal tree hugger in me just can't justify test pipes only).

Does your new diff come with brgs? If not I'll make sure I have an extra set just in case.

I don't know what it comes with. I am sure I will also have to break it in by doing figure 8's and then immediately drain and refill it also.

I happened to accidentally click on this forum, and happened to find what I've been waiting for almost a year for...

Steve, did Kirk charge you more for your custom specifications? I too would want the harness bar to be a little higher. Are your cross braces going to be staggered where it attaches to your roll bar so that you eliminate the X brace?

Kirk is not charging me any more for the custom specs. My rear braces are going straight back so yes, I am eliminating the xover for more carrying capacity going to the races.

Kirk let me know today that my roll bar is almost done. Should ship out by the end of the week or early next week. Can't wait!

the postman shouldn't have too firm a grip on the package... when you eagerly rip it out of his hands. I'm betting on an all-nighter so that you can post pics and show us what you have!!Your enthusiasm is infectious.

good luck!!

I'm curious to hear how the bar fits between the seat and the side panels. There doesn't seem to be the 2-21/2 inches that would be necessary for the bar to fit.

I wish!!! Actually though, I did finally finish up a really nice deal I had been working on, so now I have a good ammount of cash freed up.

That is why I puposefully bought a 350Z and not a Boxster S or Z06, I knew I would end up putting $10K+ in the car.

I promise I won't let you guys down. I will get you plenty of pics on the install of the seat, roll bar, and harness. I didn't even get the LSD in today, I just had too much to do and I ran out of time. No hurry though, I have a couple of weeks.

BTW, you just might see a review of my car vs. one of the Z's competitors in one of the big 3 major car mags (not one of the ricer mags). I was contacted regarding the use of my car for an article on what weekend warriors were doing to have a track ready daily driver. They wanted a lightly modded car for track days to compare it to how the brand "H" car does when modded. Ultimately though, I might not get the gig because they were looking for a Vert, but I just don't really see too many of the Vert guys using their cars for track days.

OK, here is a teaser pic:
