Default Clear coming off

ive got a redline z and was wondering if anyone has had the clear coat come off. mine is begining to come off just below the rear quater window on the passenger side. Its not bad yet but im afraid it will start to peal really bad. its right under the black trim. what would be a good fix so that it won't conitnue? so i put like clear protectant tape(used to protect your doors or like the clear tape used by rear wheel) or use brush on clear coat, anyone know if its hard to take off the black trim so i can get under it?

Once the clear starts peeling, it's like a bad sunburn peel. I had it happen on an old car of mine and I just had it redone at a bodyshop. That was because it was already in for accident repairs. I'm sure there may be a whole lot cheaper avenue.

You can try clear koat repair like nu-finish but I would recommend the shop for perfect shine. This might also be a sign that it is time for a new body mods.

Dupli color = crap

You should've waxed your car like every two months if it's always outside. I also have a redline (04) and it's perfect. I wax it every 3 months. The paint on my side mirrors is f***ed up, the rest is like new.

I wax my car everytime I wash my car :X But I detail my car religiously. lol every 5 months I'll claybar, cleaner wax, polish and wax. then every 2 weeks i'll wash and wax.

Wax is to protect your paint.

Oh and to help you out with your clear coat problem, it will get worse if it is starting to peel. Take it to a body shop and let them re-clear that whole quarter panel.
