Default Cloth to Leather Seats?

I have a quick question that i need answered asap... Im about to get the tan leather seats for my 03 350z and they are power seats.. I have the cloth seats now. Is there a way to make the power seats work in my car even though I dont have the harness for the power seats? Can I just splice into one of the power and ground and would that work? Im in the process of figuring the same thing out..from what ive read you are correct you can just 'borrow' some power from something else..ive heard some actually run power to the cig. lighter, but i will probably be stealing power from the heated seat cords (went from black leather manual seats w/ heat to burnt orange leather, power, no heat)
i would love to hear some more input on this though, would be a good DIY (i have NO experience with tapping power from other wires)

Hey thought I'd chime in on this...

I just upgraded from cloth manual seats to power heated leather seats. Wiring the power to the seats if fairly easy. First, decide if you want the seats to move at all times (even when the car is off) or if you'd like them to only work when the car is in ACC mode or on. I did mine so that the car must be on because the wiring was a bit easier. Flip your new seat over and look for the wiring that goes to the power seat motor. There are several plugs and wires, but you want to find the plug with 4 wires in it, white, light blue, red and black. You need to tap into two of those wires, the red and the black. The black wire is ground, and the red wire is power. I just cut the plug off and bought some male/female butt connectors and connected them that way. The easiest thing to do is probably run the wire to your cigarette adapter and tap into the red wire with the black stripe (from the plug that goes to the cigarette power) wire. I have an amp behind my drivers seat, so I took power from there. I grounded the black wire to one of the holes where the bolt holds the seats down and voila, power seats in a base! Hope this helps!

I have it partially working in my Z via some toggle switches and a few hours of trying to figure out the wiring. I need to take another look but I will post after work and tell you how the wiring goes.
