Default HID HEADLIGHTS

Hey guys,
I've heard that installing HID headlights can lead to the headlight frame melting if its hit at a certain temperature because its plastic.
I was wondering if this was true for the zeds, and if i could get away with installing a 4500K HID kit.

Thanks heaps

Peter

No, HID actually run less voltage than regular halogens. I've had mine in for 2 years and nothing is wrong with my headlight melting.

No problems in this matter with HID systems, but be sure you get a quality one. I recommend go to a 5000k or 6000k, 4500k is near factory yellowish color. 6000k is the prettiest one with a very light blue tone and nice 2,700 lumens of light. I have them in lo and hi beams without problem due to they work cooler than oem halogen light. I own a Touring Z and also own www.sagahid.com, if need something else just PM me or do so through my online store contact. Regards, Sam.

Please don't get those purple ones. Stick with the stock temperature or close (4300k)
