Exclamation Mastergrade CF Hatch...

I did some searching and i couldnt find much...What kind of glass do people put in the hatch? how weatherproof is it? does anyone have problems with leaks? Is it the same shape as the OEM glass?

OEM size, OEM glass can be used.

OEM glass is fine.
There are a few lightweight lexan options available as well.
Sealing should be excellent as long as installed properly with either option.
Keep in mind, you would NOT want to run a rear wiper with lexan.

You have two options:

Lexan rear window kit: much lighter in weight, can't be tinted unless sprayed, no rear wiper, no rear defrost. Roughly $200-$275

OEM glass swap: Heavy. Roughly $100 to get your OEM glass swapped.

It was put on the backburner. We will be discontinuing the MG hatch once the new hatch is released.

Just tell me there is an integrated lip, thats all I want to hear Jim. If it's anything like the G35 trunk lid you debuted on the same post you hinted on the v2 Mastergrade hatch, I'm all in brother!

i have an 03 track and the mastergrade hatch... stayed with stock glass cause i live in WA and with humidity you really want the defogger... on another note... anyone have any advice for keeping the brake light in place... the CF is a lot thicker and doesn't perfectly mimic the stock hatch for the mounting of the light... tried a strip of velcro but it still falls down... not sure if anyone really even keeps the light when they get the new hatch...
