Now i been on this sight lil bit and this is not for the net thugs. Why do people like the stock lights so much. Its not like are something special. But i see everyone looks down on everyone who changes them. Dont get it twisted im not asking this cuz i changed mine. I personally hate the color red that was my reason and when i get my kit and body work u will see my vision for my car. I can't do much to my car now due to the fact im overseas. USAF
But i do have pics of my tails but my car is black so i think mine work. But i do hate the chrome strap in my lights but u win some and lose some. Now granted i kno most are just plain cheap, cheezy, and worthless. My whole thing is if the light go with the flow of the car than it does. Like my car black car black housed head and tail lights. But im going for the blackout dark look.

i think people dont like those tail lights because they bubble outwards, disrupting the 'lines' of the tail.

if you want a blacked out look, just get vinyl overlays for the stock tail lights.

 

yeah, most dont like them cause of the bubble, but if you do, then great........thats what matters........when it comes to style its always one opinion over another......

well i have known and herd bad things about overlays due to being not to dark and to dark. I like to buy the first time the right time.

But i guess thats more of a reason than i thought. The whole curve thing

 

A few years ago there was/is a craze called "putting altezza taillights" on your car.. every hondaboy was doing it.. and after the first couple of guys did it.. it got played out so bad..

Those lights you like are of the "altezza style" .. That to me is why no one likes them. If you want an acceptable set with clear LEDs.. buy a Japanese Fairlady Z taillight from the factory.. It is more widely accepted (because it's OEM JDM Nissan)

well im not discussing my lights i just ment lights in total. I like my lights and thats that. Im not going to change my car cuz people dont like it. Showing my lights were an example of what i think goes with the car. Now if i made a poor choice of putting some chrome tail on my black car i would expect to get flamed from hell. But what im wanting to kno why people hate on them if the lights go with the car? But i guess im not like every car guy cuz i hate american cars but if it looks nice i can respect that.

But im guess this is one of them things well he did not put them on his so im not going to put them on mine...

 

06+ LEDS and JDM clear LED tails make the car look more expensive and more sophisticated. IMO the ugliest things in the world are the 03-05 17" wheels and the 03-05 taillights.

for altezza lights to work on a Z for me... it would need a grip of intense vinyl artwork on the car... really intense artwork. the altezza lights add curves that should be on the car!

i dont really hate on the altezzas that much cuz a new owner can easily take them off. its those cheap ugly terribly molded widebody kits that are hard to fix! haha...

 

Personally, I'm not only not a fan of the bubble, I'm not a fan of clear tails, unless they are blacked out and the clear isn't visible. Clear tails don't look good to me even without the "bubble version". It's a few years ago. (JMO)

lol u are funny. Just cuz some one changes lights dont make it rice. Are u serious. But everone has there own idea of ricer ****. I personaly think that veilside wing is rice and it realy dont flow with the car. I dont kno the name but the one from tokyo drift.(I know yall all seen that) But thats IMO. But give me 2 or 3 months to get my kit in pay my car off and ill post again with pics.

 

I personally think the cheap "blacked out" JDM fairlady knock offs look the best but all above is true. History repeats itself, once stock lights where accepted then it was altezza's and now its back to stock. Wait 5-10 years and we will all have altezza's with a bubble and a disco ball. LOL!
