Default veilside carbon fiber help?

I'm interested in getting the Veilside V1 carbon fiber lip for my z. I was wondering if any of you have had problems with fading or yellowing with these? I live in arizona and I have usually garaged my car, but with my new job its going to be outside about 4-5 days a week, even during summer. If anyone has any feedback about these please let me know, because I wont waste the money on it if its going to yellow.

We highly recommend you clearcoat it just to be safe.
Haven't really heard any negatives about it otherwise.

That is their way of saying we 'sort of' clear coated it, but we recommend clear coating again in case it does fade so you can't blame us. My .02

We say that because our parts (carbon and FRP) come with a gel coat, but no clear coat. Just as you would paint and clear a FRP part, we suggest you clear the carbon part too.

Not really.
We don't sell pre-painted parts (of pre cleared in this case).

It's possible that nothing would even happen to the gel coat. There is already one person in here who said his lip hasn't faded or yellowed.

We suggest clearing it as a "backup" plan just in case.

Also, I've been calling it "gel coat". That isn't right.

Rather, it is a resin. I appologize.

Our new(er) carbon parts also feature a new resin that is more resistant to fading/yellowing.

I hope this has helped.

You'll have much better luck getting some answers by starting a new thread for that one. Make sure to post the thread in the vendor section with the title "WTB Veilside cf lip". That way vendors know what you're looking for and can give you a price. Good luck man!
