headlight question

Default headlight question

ok first off, i just bought a 04 z, and i need new headlights, the stock hids n all still work, if i buy this

will i be able to swap the projector from my current headlights and than the stock hid's will fit right? with a few nuts here n there for the ballast

no, you won't be able to do that. save yourself some money and just follow the DIY on how to paint them yourself. even if you could, you would still have to open the housing and figure out how to fit them in there anyway. with that said the best route would be to save the $$ off of the ebay crap and just follow the DIY.

its not that i want to just get them black, my driver side headlight is broken, and the passenger side is in kinda bad shape so i want to get 2 new headlights, i dont mind baking them open to get it to fit, but i want to know if its posible to swap the projector housing over and have the stock hids work on the new headlight with a lil modification

if you are willing to try, i say go for it. but if you search you will find out that those that have wanted to do this, or have tried in the past found it not worth the time or effort and ended up spending more in the long run to fix their mistake.
