Default Free window tint

so my dads planning on tinting my windows for me, to save some money. hes done it on various cars: varis, expedition, pilot. And hes also done it for his friends, however, hes going to tint my rear side windows and my hatch window. Is there anything different about tinting Z's as compared to other cars? Should I get it professionally done? Or should I just let him do it. im asking cuz iono if its easy to tint z's. thanks

Pretty easy, just make sure that you account for the window lowering function when you open the door.

Unscrew the door jammer and make sure that you don't close the door until a few hours after he is done.

what about the top of the back window, where the brake lights show. should i tint around it? or is there a way to take it off and then put it back in later?

You can take it off... I did when I tinted my windows last week.

hahaaha. two threads?

you're effective, I'll give you that.

15% isn't limo. Limo is 5%, but 15% is still pretty dark. I had 35% and had to switch to 45% because I kept getting pulled over.

Well, in California, NO TINT is allowed on the front windows...at all. But 45% is light enough so cops can see your face, hands, etc. from the outside. Most cops don't trip off of moderate tint. I guess it just freaks them out when they can't see the driver or pisses them off that one would have the ***** to tint their windows with such a dark grade. Like spitting on their mustaches, I guess.

Visually, there is a big difference between 35% and 45%. With the 35% you can just tell if someone is in the driver's seat. But that's it.

For the record, I NEVER SAID I HAD TINT ON THE FRONT WINDOWS. Everything I post is HYPOTHETICAL and not to imply actual circumstances some of which may be a legal liability. The tinting of front and side automobile windows is against California law and I am NOT encouraging, conspiring, nor am I abetting in such an illegal enterprise.

my uncle is a tinting specialist

5% is not true limo tint, limo tint is slightly darker, it would be like 15 on top of 15 or 15 on top of 5.

my rear window is 15 with another layer of 15 over it, its suppppper dark, u cant even put ur eyes on the window and see in, that is tru limo tint.

to take it off u can just peel it off and if it leaves residue behind u can scrap it off with a razor or mix ammonia with water and spray some on and rub it out or scrap it off too.

when peeling tint off the rear window you need to watch out for the defroster lines.

with being illegal the percentage changes from state to state ... if you see a cop, JUST ROLL DOWN YOUR WINDOWS.

rear windows are allowed to be tinted any percentage in most states
