Well I just got off the phone with the dealership and the 370Z emblems he ordered for me are in. Before he placed the order he went out and took a tape measure to both the 350Z and the 370Z front fender emblems to see if the sizes were the same. The cost of each emblem is $33.12.

Who knows how good it will look or if I will even pull the trigger on installing them or not. Still scared to go drilling into finished metal. If anyone with knowledge of that has some input feel free to throw it out there. My main concerns are it getting the metal hot enough that it bubbles on an area of the fender around the emblem and how do I treat/finish the raw metal the dilling created?

I am assuming you can tap into the turn signal easy enough to power the emblem. But that is a big assumption as I have no knowledge of the risks in doing that.

Here are a couple links of people who have done the JDM sidemarker.

https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...idemarker.html

Below is a link for the Z4 sidemarker. It states that no drilling or cutting is requried because it uses the exiting hole.

I imagine you'll just have to make the hole bigger to fit the assembly.
http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/50-3072

Sorry, but I'm not sure what we should "treat" the edges of the hole we make. I think the best thing to do is go very slow, making tiny incisions.

I'm also unsure how we should mount the sidemarker. Maybe, some kind of epoxy or glue around the edges that touch the fender?

One of the links talks about a harness, but I figure I'm going to splice mine. I want it to be lit pretty much all the time except for when I'm signaling. So I'm going to splice into the parking light and turn signal leads. Check the link below for someone did something similar for the front vertical sidemarker. The only thing I don't know at the moment is which wire is which and what guage splicer/cap plastic thingies I'll need.

Here is another link that might help us when taking off the side emblem.
http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/g...de-emblem.html

It seems the best way is to remove the black plastic inner wheel well and simply pop out the emblem to avoid scratching/prying/etc. The two holes that are underneath for the prongs will provide the start for the cutting.

I'm not a big machinist, I really don't know what tool to use to cut that type of hole. My best guess is to start with a drill and go very slow.

Im not 100% sure I am on the same page with everyone else. I believe the OP was referring to the OEM side blinker lights on the 370Z. Best I can tell, you will not find these at Courtesy Parts/Z Store/EVO-R/JDM. At least I have not seen these on their sites.

If memory serves me correct, this is the side emblem that is hooked up to the turn signal on the 370Z (thanks to Kwame):

Solo, that was a great find. I have no idea why the Nissan dealership charged me $33 a piece.

Yeah, I believe you're on the same page as everyone else. I believe we're all talking about the 370Z lighted side fender emblems.

Some of the links posted may have been in reference to Courtesy Parts/Z Store/Evo-R/JDM/ect, but I think those were only to help illustrate the process for getting these hooked up.

If these just pop right in, I'll get some too. Not going to trim the fenders though.

You will definitely have to take a hole saw to your fenders in order to mount the 370Z side marker lamps.

Well I got my 370Z side emblems today, definitely going to be some cutting going on. Wonder what will cut easiest and most precisely? Here are some pics. Excuse camera phone. Also does anyone know where I could get a two prong male connector for this? I would like to wire it up so I can just plug into the existing female connector.

I like them too, but I am wary about drilling. I'll lurk to see how the project goes...

Not sure about just the male connector for that, but you could just order and two-terminal set of male/female connectors that match and use them instead.

Damn! Nice deal. They didn't have them at first and I could only get them from the dealership at the higher cost. Thanks for the update.

I am still too chicken to take a hole saw or dremel tool to my fender.
