full cf 350z, anybody?
i picked up a crashed 03 350z a few weeks ago. The car is black and i was wanting to paint it red but have since changed my mind. I was gonna lighten the car up so i already ordered cf doors and a hood and it got me thinking. I wanna do a full cf 350, i know i can buy the hood, mirrors, fenders, doors, hatch, front bumper etc easily. my question is what to do about a rear bumper and the rear quarter panels? also does anybody make the stock sideskirt area in cf? i know there aftermarket cf styles but i want the stock style in cf cause i plan on putting this car on the ground. ideas and help plz? i figure if im gonna spend 5-6k on a complete color change why not go all cf instead.

well i figure iv already ordered the doors and the hood, plus lets not forget i planned on another 5-6k to do a full color change on this car so instead i plan on leaving it all cf. so now i need a front bumper, fenders,,roof cap,a pilars, mirror covers and a hatch. those parts i know can be bought off the shelf from a select few companys, mostly what im interested in is does anybody make a rear cf bumper? and what to do about the rear quarter panels?

yes, you can get a CF hood, side mirrors, fenders, doors, hatch, front bumper, rear bumper, rear quarter panels, sideskirt, and roof.. but of all those parts, only significant weight loss comes from the hatch, doors, and mirrors (compared to stock).
you'll have to cut physically the rear quarter panels and roof off if you want to replace those whole-heartly, and hope to secure your commerically available cf-over-frp pieces to the body, but only to reduce the structural integrity of your chassis, but that's ok. cuz you already bought the Z banged up.
not to mention this car with no metal doors or side support, or no metal roof, no rear fenders will probably splinter and explode in an array of resin and CF and FRP chunks if you ever get T-boned.. but thats ok. cuz its way better than a $5-6k investment of getting it re-painted.
there are practical things to do and there are unpractical things to do. both of which can augment functionality and cosmetic needs.. just be sure you know what you're doing.

^ yeah i could easily see it costing 10k without a doubt, when i said the 5-6k i mean ill just throw that towards doing the car. I work at a body shop so the prep work/install is taken care of. yeah when i bought the car it just needed pretty much a whole new front end and passenger side suspension, not bad for 10k cdn.
