everything's pretty much been said, Im willing to pay a good bit for a CF hatch, so if you guys could kindly estimate a price, because I too dont know what needs to be involved to make this piece. A new thread on the hatch might let you know who is interested.

Do people not realize that while yes, the hatch IS heavy, the glass is also incredibly heavy and unless changed to lexan, there won't be all-that drastic of a reduction in weight over stock...

I think Lexan scratches easier than glass. I'm sure there are other downfalls too, but I don't care.

lexan.. less noise insulation.. less structural rigidity then glass.. not quite as transparent as glass (but that might be a quality thing)..

its more flexible.. its lighter.. it can be scratched, but you can use plastic polish on it..

I'm in for the Hatch CF or FPR. I'm sure most people here agree that we don't want a rear wiper mount(less weight for me/easier for you) and as for the inside covers just make it a smooth clean finish I don't care about that, you wouldn't see it often.
I will paint it so I just want the weight savings. You could sell it without the glass/lex and let the customer deside with they want. Plus less head ache for you. My biggest concern is fit and finish. Give us your ideas, (cost, fit, finish issues, weight)
Thanks alot,
Gary

Here a new pic from balsarini... See how they use different badge on the rear. Which one looks better? EVO-R or Balsarini?

haha... good thing I left the spoiler at mark's shop. I was working closely with the first sample on this one. I told the manfacture no gap or no wing. Adam, interest in carry them? Did you feel the weight difference between the FRP one and CF one? We'll be selling this wing in Japan too. Don't wait till you see it in Option Magazine then decide to get it. Hehehe

With double sided tape. Just line up the wing and place it on the hatch after you've applied a bit of adhesion promotor.

yea, this is also use 3M double side tape. This one holds stronger than OEM style. Since more coverage area.

is adhesion promotor safe to come in contact with the cars paint assuming you might want to take off the wing sometime
