So I love my car through and through. My biggest gripe since getting the car is how noisy it is inside the cabin. My car got backed into so it is in the shop. They gave me a Cobalt for a rental and the thing is so quiet inside. I have put dyno matt completely in the trunk but there are is still a lot of noise in the cabin. Any suggestions without going back to a stock exhasut (hks, hi-flow cat, headers).

I'm thinking of a Bassani/Berk/**haven't decided what brand headers yet. Anyone have an educated opinion on what the quietest true dual exhaust would be. Want to stay as close to stock noise as possible with the performance increase associated with a block back exhaust upgrade.

non existant
since everyone's idea of "quiet" varies widely (cannot stress this enough), the best bet is always to attend local meets and draw your own conclusions as far as the exhaust goes.
To the OP - you just essentially drove to Anarctica and asked why it's so cold. Can't have it both ways unfortunately

Fabricate and install a set of silencers in the exhaust tips.
Would look weird but it does make the car far quieter.
There's really no other way if you don't take out the exhaust.

i think he means noise other than the noise coming from his exhaust?, maybe...if you mean road noise you can try adding dynamat to your cars cabin and other areas you hear noise coming from, it works well .

look my car was crazy loud too. First Take your entire interior apart. I placed teklite V4 sound absorbing foam on the floors, doors, trunk, wheel wells, everwhere. that made the car 1/2 as loud.
Then I got new tires and alignment.
