Internetabyss,
I have a replica as well paid, way less than $300, it didn't come with Dr bonz's plastic widgets...
But I bought them at Bed, Bath & Beyond ($1.99), there for use in furniture, I think their called clear bumpers...
I have them much smaller, and I put three on each side

Bonz, those came with the kit? I don't remember seeing them in mine. Actually seems like a much better idea than the foam inserts.

those are what the body shop put on my wing tips but i think foam would look better since they font cover the oval part that wants to lay on the car.
hmmm....

I just assumed they came with the kit. Maybe the installer just put them in. Mine cover the area that contacts the hatch perfectly. They are fairly thick and a little more firm than foam I think and maybe they hold the tip up a bit and prevent any paint on paint contact.

The center in black is the BOMB!!! That's the look I am going for when I can afford the front lip.
