Default MG roof cap: 3m or Epoxy???

Roof cap just showed up at my door and I am wondering what is better:

Epoxy

https://my350z.com/forum/3806448-post51.html

Or can I just 3m the SoB to the top!

If so:

1) 3m stuff I have from discount thats kinda thick?
2) 3m from some where else and how do I get it? :

from the link

when you see it, youll &*%$ bricks

Seems like most people just use 3m tape but epoxy would be more of a permanent application

I'd use 3M, but more than what comes on the cf roof already just to be safe. I'd hate to see my 400 bucks go bye bye

OP, depending on your neighborhood or places you most frequent AND if you'd want to keep the cf roof permanent.. I'd really consider epoxy over 3m. Even if you decided you don't like it one day, you could probably just have someone paint over it back to stock.

Yeah that was me I had the asuka double hump. I would epoxy that sucker so it can be more secure and so it can stay on your roof.

Doesn't the Asuka roof use screws as well?

Yep but mine was under my A-arms and had double sided sticky tape all around. They actually left half of the tape still stuck on my roof.

Im in a good place and not worried about theft, actually I have an extra cap coming in a couple of weeks if it was stolen. No I am more worried about it flying off when I am going 130 mph.

They just use high industrial 3m double sided tape, the red kind. It can be found at any local hardware store.
