Ok so here it goes. It took about 3 hours to put on the BlueBat yellow headlight film on my car. It was a Friday night and we finished about 12 midnight. I live in South, Fl Miami, Dade County to be exact. But I was driving in an area called Miami Shores where cops are loaded everywhere. I just put on my headlight film and hyped to drive it home to see what it will look like. As i left his house not even 2 min away from his house I see a cop pulling over someone ahead of me. So as I pass I put my seat belt on and continue driving past him. As I passed I knew he had saw me coming and even heard me coming. As i continue to look at my rear view mirror he quickly turns of his lights, pulls away from the person he pulled over, came up on me and turned on his lights. Great. So to make a long story short after I started to argue with the cop (bad idea) he didnt like my yellow headlights. So I took them off the next day. He gave me a warning after I gave in to him. lol

Ummmmmm.... I agree with the cop on this one. I never understood the purpose of yellow film, nor do I like the looks. Blacking out the housing would be better.

 

I love the yellow..I just don't see why yellow is illegal.

 

I agree on this, but to each their own. Although in hindsight, with them your car needed something else to pull the yellow into the scheme, your rims were silver and your car is black, maybe gold rims or something could have pulled it together, but without the film your car looks good to me.

 

I'm a cop and I work in Texas so I don't know FL laws but you are permitted to show white and amber(yellow same ****) from the front of the vehicle. I think you just got

 

Anyone here work in the Miami Dade area that know the rule or laws about headlights? Because I see box chevys here with bright purple, bright blue, HID's as well.

Sorry but true, might as well just tint them a bit, i honestly just dont get yellow tints on headlights, specially on z's lol

I agree that it is your car and all that matters is if you like it or not. But in my opinion, I think the cop did you a favor. And I don't mean by giving you a warning, I mean by making you take it off!

I think your Z looks great with the wheels, reflectors and lip. You got that whole black and gray thing going on and the yellow stands out too much IMO.

 

the cop who pulled you over is probably a member here, lol jk. i think it looks better without the yellow tint, its just suck that you spent 3 hours on it and it didnt even last 24 hours before you took it off.

 

Maybe because your light output would look green?
