You Think JDM BLINGS [ played out ]
.....back to OP, aside from carbon IMO young leaf and plush toys are ghey. Fake custom Japan plates are alright, but only for shows of course. More on carbon, I believe carbon is a great addition to any car when done tastefully. The only thing I hate to see is when people rock carbon stickers. Then again, that's just my thoughts
All of you who say carbon is cheesey unless it is functional are ridiculous. Do all of you roll around on completely stock parts? Aftermarket bumpers aren't functional, neither is any body peice for that matter... unless you're talking about sbc huge aluminum wings. But thats only if you have the hp to actually use it. its a body styling thing... for most of our purposes anyway.
I think they're all played out. I don't like CF much either. I used to have a CF hood but the stock look is so much cleaner. I do have to admit, CF looks awesome on some applications.

As far as the rest of the stuff, well I live in TN, so I don't think I have ever seen a plush toy on the bumper so it's not played out here, ghey - yes, but not played out. The JDM bling I like is anything ARC, Project MU brakes, Amuse dry CF pieces, etc etc.
You get my point. A lot of the haters on here are the same people that spend almost $200 on a Tommy Kaira shift ****.
IMO it doesn't matter how played out anything is; if you like it, rock it!
i think using the word "bling" to describe anything for a sports car is played out.
but a little bit here and there is ok, though i can't justify spending some of those prices though

Everyone has a different sense of style. People express it in their clothes, their hairstyles, their way of speaking, the music they listen to, and their cars. It's just a natural expression of oneself. Do I think the NISMO GT car shown is awesome? Absolutely. Would I want my street car, or even weekend toy to look that way? Honestly no - I like that machine for what it is, not for what it necessarily looks like in all the exposed carbon-ness. I'm just not a guy who likes exposed carbon except in very small doses. Others opinions vary, and that's what makes the world go 'round!

It's fine when describing a variant of an item available in Japan and not here:
For example, a headlamp that was offered with HID's as OEM in Japan but only halogen here. User buys the HID headlamp and describes it as a "JDM headlamp". That's fine...
What gets old is when kids tack on all sorts of stuff then justify it with "but it's jdm." no... you're just emulating a style belonging to a small group of people half way around the world.
+1
