Default steering wheel spacer, stock

I am looking for a steering wheel spacer;
one for my stock z, id like to move it outwards 2 inches or so. this would give me a MUCH improved seating position.
As always with requests like this, id like to keep all the steeringwheel buttons active. Anyone know of anything?

theres no such thing as a spacer for the stock steering wheel. You can go aftermarket and get a steering wheel with an offset (i.e. vertex, nardi deep corn, etc..)

If you want to see how the steering wheel attaches your best bet would be to search for threads showing how to replace the stock steering wheel with an aftermarket one. All I know for sure is that accomplishing what you are trying to accomplish will require you having to lengthen the harness and wires behind the steering wheel. Good luck, but truthfully I don't see this being feasible.

Oh and one more thing, there are members of this board who have been able to switch to aftermarket steering wheels and relocate their cruise control buttons successfully.

good to see you got your priorities straight when it comes to your steering wheel.

i would think that losing your airbag would be more of a concern over those luxury items

you can always relocate it. Ive been thinking of relocating my cruise control ever since i swapped my steering wheel out for an aftermarket one. ive just been too lazy to do it.

as to the airbag, i TOTALLY forgot about it. No seriously, i did.
Its one of those things you just think will be there nowadays.
I dont have access to a machine shop to answer your question.
Well i do, but its co stuff only.

I have contemplated the moving it, but i would want a stalk replacement instead of a hole in my dash with the wheel control placed there. which adds a LOT of complexity.
one day i will take the thing apart when its not 5F out and take a looksee. an inch would make all the difference for leg room and arm room.
