The other day i get pulled over by a texas state trooper for no plates up front and for my tail lights which are smoked and he said that i have to change them cuz he couldn't see my tail lights from 500 yards. i asked him if i can just get brighter lights he said 500 yards!!!, so has anybody had this problem before? and also wondering if anybody knows were's i can buy some LED's tail lightsfor my car it's an 03 Z and i haven't found anything and i just get them done.

 

Depends how dark your tails are. Post a pic up.

 

if you use regular black paint to smoked it before then you need to change the tails.. I only use Niteshaded for my smoked tails and lights pass through easily.

 

it also helps to know your state laws prior to modifying your car. that way you don't get pulled over for stuff like this

which is the Texas DMV website...says 300 feet...so idk about 500 yards=1500 feet...maybe I am misinterpreting it?

 

500 yards=5 Football Fields= 1500 Feet.

If the cop actually said 500 yards than that is false.
