ok so somebody had asked me to record sound from inside my car with the CF doors and stripped interior... it only sort of fits into this thread... but it's mine so... i'll deviate slightly from the main goal and show the effect of weight reduction on cabin noise

Thanks for sharing. It doesn't sound all that bad with the CF doors, but I'm sure the video doesn't capture how loud it actually is. I think it's very similar to having just gutted interior, maybe just a tad louder.

Pics of your car as it sits now if you don't mind...

I wieghted in at 3220
Stripped trunk
No wiper/motor
No windshield Fluid resivour
AAM Test pipes
AAM y-pipe

I'm sure I'm close to 3175 now with AAM single exhaust over the stock.

My next moves

Battery
Flywheel
Clutch
Enkei wheels same size -40 over stock!

Hopefully that bring me down to 3000s

Then from there really see if I wanna push it further...

it's pretty close to that same as a gutted interior... if not the same... i noticed a MUCH bigger difference with just getting much larger tires than anything related to changing out the doors.

i think one sheet of sound deadener on a CF door would be quieter than the stock doors with their sound deadener

I have just removed all the tar deadener from the trunk area and that weighs in at 3.3kg. Worth doing if you going for the stripped out rear end as it looks a whole lot better too!

Will try to find time to measure roadster top (canvas+frame+motors, without the little fuse box thingy that controls it). I don't know if I can find a camera to take a picture of it... but I can at least post the weight.

Some aftermarket parts sitting in my house

powerXS battery - 15.6lbs
Agency power y-back exhaust - 19lbs
Motordyne Y-pipe w/cat - 15lbs

Should have the stock leather heated seats weighed soon.

Anyone have the weight of the stock rad?

Thanks! From Scotts post it looks like the compressor is a little over 30lbs. Probably 40 or 50 if you add on the condenser.

Ill grap the stock touring seats today, but if I recall they weighed 36lbs each when I had them out last (driver was a couple lbs more)
