Metal speaker and glovebox housing behind seats.
No less than 27.2 pounds. I left a band of metal around the seat belts and down across the front next to the electrical wires that run along there.
Estimate an additional 3 to 7 lbs can be stripped...

Love this threa! It's nice to actually see the weights since I have removed nearly everything in the thread. I was able to get my car to 2,700lbs with an LS1 and heavy a$$ TH400 so I'm excited to see what some of the normal Z's get down to.

Sitting at 2720 right now without aero.

No door windows, no pass seat, CF headlights and front fenders, gutted hood.

I imagine I could do low 2600 with CF hatch, lexan, rear shelf out, new suspension. Maybe break into 2500s but would be pushing it without a cage.

This is the exact sort of thread I was looking for. I'm starting to tear down the Z for a track prep. Here's the XO2 exhaust and components Sorry about the shitty scale pics

Piece coming off the cats:18LBS
All together it weighs 41LBSI don't know what the final product will weight when I cut out the resonators and put the Magnaflow x pipe. The stock resonators do feel quiet a bit heavier and I may just run pipping from the cats to the X pipe and then piping to the mufflers. we'll see. Hopefully I remember and take pics with weight

This is the racecar on Intercomp scales with all fluids, full gas tank, cage and LS1/TH400. Keep in mind this is a 535whp drag car not a street car. Going to do a light weight battery and drag brakes up front this winter.

Driver interior door panel without controls or elbow rest pad= 6.426 lbs.

It is leaning on the wall, but it's very close to being balanced. So if anything, it might be just a hair heavier.

Does anyone know what the weight of the factory suspension is? Struts, coils etc? There has to be some potentially significant weight savings there, and I believe half of it would be considered unsprung.

Just a re cap on this. I installed everything today so the 2.5" HKS replica w/ the X pipe mod weighs in at 35 pounds.

I'd be interested to know just how heavy the leather drivers seat complete with both electric motors weighs as i've a feeling it weighs as much as i do and the front leather seat with the single electric motor not much different. Imagine the saving with a couple of light bucket seats?

I can do this tomorrow for you, I'll be ripping out the carpet for cleaning. IIRC they are 35ish pounds

In my 2003 touring, the drivers side seat (leather, two motor, airbag, etc) was right at 50lbs. The passenger side was about 48lbs.

I bought a sparco pro2000 and it was about 20lbs and about 5lbs for the seat bracket…Delta, 75lbs...
