I'd pay around $1000 for quality work. Since the only reason to change hatch is a weight savings, I'd really prefer pantera style. The glass size would be 5 times less or so, which means maximum weight savings

A hatch shouldn't cost more then a CF hood. And thats what I would pay....

Yeah really! A hood doesnt have to seal or hold glass so it is quite a bit harder to fabricate. But I do agree it shouldnt cost $4K. The reason Amuse hatch costs that much is because it is dry carbon fiber. It would be cheaper with wet carbon fiber.

Dude, I would hate that pantera style, looks kinda added on.

I think it would be worth a look, but I really think it would end up too expensive to even consider. For a couple of thousand, I would rather add HP, unless this thing REALLY dropped a lot of weight.

That's because it's not colormatched on picture. And louvers are optional, of course. Nobody knows exactly what stock hatch weight, but I can see 100lb savings. And as raceboy correctly noticed, it's all weight from up high.
