Default what do I use to clean the inside of my headlight?

i have water in my driver side headlight and its been bugging me out so im finally going to open them up this weekend.

so my question is what product do i use to clean the inside of my headlights after i split them?

i tried meguiars plastx before and thats good for the outside...but will the heat from the hid melt the residue and leave nasty marks?

I think you should be fine with meguiars plastx just try not to lay it on to thick. Good luck with this i had to do the same thing and its such a pain in the ***. Taking the bumper off and then putting the lights in the oven. It looks good when you are done but its a pain. I just used a clay bar and that worked very well so you might try that method since its proven.

plastx is really weak as a nice cleaner. Use a nice automotive polish. I would shine a flashlight through after you are done just to make sure you get out every last smear or anything.

If the car is still under warranty, you should take this to the dealer, the headlights shouldnt have condensation, they will replace and reseal the lights. If not use this link to help you

wow i didnt expect this many responses so quick. thanks for the input guys. and i have no warranty, i bought the car used and its a 2003 hehe.

since you said plastx is not that great i will use my pinnacle polish i guess. i actually bought a complete detail kit but i have not used it yet bc of the weather lately.

\

maybe i should use my buffer to polish the outside of my headlight?
