i have to say... IMO looks better than everybody else's gloss cf kit. reason why i didnt go with the kit that is so popular in this forum cuz i think the gloss cf is a bit to much for me, i might have alot of black going on outside my ppw but inside cf?.. dont know about that...
but your fabric cf is really nice, i would consider this.
good job

The only thing that i didn't like about the z's interior was the center console....too much plastic.
....I think I kept it reasonably tasteful......IMO, i don't see this as "ricey".
i work as a designer.....so, i have access to a lot of weird materials.
PM me if you are interested.....not sure if I'm allowed to post $$ figure on this thread but, I can tell you that the material cost less than a case of beer (CDN).

how did you get the lines so precise? I have a steady hand and a good eye for detail but I don't think I could get every line so sharp like that. It looks machine produced. Could you give us more details and maybe some pics of the install. This would be a good solution for people with scratched consoles like me.

It's thin enough to get a sharp crease line but, strong + flexiible enough to rub down. Once you get the console out, 1/2 the work is done....just take your time applying the fabric.
The patterns are not just prints....you can feel them.
I'm not so sure about the UV effect but, the material is cheap/easy enough to reapply....or if you don't want it anymore, peel it & wipe the glue off with alcohol....back to stock plastic panels.

I was worried about that as well but, the fabric is durable. Also, I've wrap the areas where it doesn't get consatantly rubbed.
As for the material size, 1 yard will be more than enough to cover the center console.
I think we will be getting more within 2 weeks.
Let me know if you want it....I'll save some on the side.

Clean work, but definitely not my cup of tea. It's a bit too busy for my taste...

it would be fairly impossible with carbon fiber to get as perfect a weave as this will give you cost effectively. not to mention the surface irregularities.
and this is no more ricey than real carbon fiber trim (to you brickyardrat) since you know, you are not actually saving weight or doing anything other than trying to get the look. and with all the material needed with wet CF I bet it's relatively the same weight.
very cool, I like it alot. are you going to do the consoles on the doors as well?
