shift boot

I also have this piece available with the gauges

Funny how people keep saying this is rice. When you lay carbon fiber over a stock piece on your dash your just adding the "look", your not saving any weight... If this was the carbon fiber print vinyl then I could understand, I just dont see how this is rice at all...

So this isnt actual CF right? The DIY looks somewhat easy enough to do. I might want to do it since the matte finish is much nicer than the usual heavy gloss.

I could think of a million things i would wrap in that...

Heres the interesting thing about it, It's not vinyl. The Top layer is a polyester based material with actual CF weave also embedded underneath the acrylic compound. The bottom liner is cloth.

CF can also be done in matte, not gloss. If you were interested in CF rather than this.

CF is just super expensive and fitment issues are a headache.

Very true, and real carbon fiber products actually made for its purpose are even more expensive, like dry carbon hoods that are full carbon fiber not just overlay on fiberglass.

Carbon fiber parts are expensive because the molds used to make the parts reach a saturation point and can't be used after a certain number of times. They also require copious amounts of cleaning between the making of each part which drives the cost up.

The material itself isn't all that expensive anymore.

If you can PM me with the prices and dimensions (amount) of fabric, that'd be cool.

He won't divulge. His boss won't tell him either. Company secret or something. Waiting on a PM reply from the individual with the pink interior though.
